Interfaith Hospitality Network
of Warren County
Interfaith Hospitality Network of Warren County's (IHNWC) mission is to provide meals, hospitality, and support for homeless families. Our goal is to maintain the integrity & dignity of the family during this critical time as they seek to build a better life.
Important: Income Taxes TY2019
Due to events outside of our control, IHNWC will be unable to file your income taxes in 2020 (for tax year 2019). The Ohio Benefit Bank, the provider for our tax and benefit services, was defunded and is no longer offering services.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause for you. IHNWC is actively seeking a provider for tax year 2020. Please check with us prior to next year's filing window to see if we can assist you in the future. Currently, qualifying individuals can have their returns prepared for free from VITA and AARP.
It is also possible to file your own taxes online. There are several services available. We recommend trying TurboTax, although certain situations may require you to pay (most individuals who have filed at IHNWC in the past will not be charged anything).

Family Promise 4 Star Streak Continues!
Family Promise is IHNWC's parent affiliation. They were awarded with their 7th consecutive 4 star rating by Charity Navigator.
A 4-star-rating, which is Charity Navigator's highest designation, demonstrates Family Promise's commitment to financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency.
Only 6% of the nonprofits evaluated by Charity Navigator have received at least 7 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Family Promise outperforms most other charities in America.
Time for Change is IHNWC's biannual effort to improve the services families receive at the shelter. In the past, these events have enabled IHNWC to fund new vehicles, beds, and structural repairs to our facilities. This Spring's event benefits our Christmas in July initiative, which is to ensure all children who enter the family shelter have everything needed for a full school year. The event will begin on March 8, 2020. The idea is simple: donate the spare change in your pocket at the end of each day during the event week. Please consider contributing, or encourage others to collect at their places of business or homes! It adds up to make substantial changes in the lives of our families.
More information is available in the event flyer.
